Ecoforestry advocate Alan Soicher presents a slide program on the activities of the River Farm and the forestry subsidiary, Evergreen Ecoforestry. The Maple tree used by Wesley Smith and Andrew Vallee to make the current exhibition, The Tree Project, was harvested from the River Farm as a part of their sustainable, selective forestry practices.
Alan Soicher is a resident member of the River Farm community and co-manager of Evergreen Ecoforestry LLC. He spends most of his time working on sustainable forestry and watershed issues and holds degrees in geohydrology and geological engineering.
