Angela Nelson from the Washington Conservation Corps will present a slide program on the use of native plants to restore wetlands and salmon habitat in Whatcom County. She will discuss the ecosystem considered for restoring properly functioning conditions in project areas and present examples of restoration projects in our area.

Angela Nelson has a degree in restoration ecology from Evergreen State College. Her work has focused on native plant propagation and restoration. Currently she works for the Washington State Department of Ecology' s Washington Conservation Corps and trains young people in fields related to ecology.
